Help me GIVE BACK this summer.

1. TEACHING MUSIC IN SOUTH AFRICA. 
MOST TIME-SENSITIVE. 
I NEED TO RAISE $2000 BY JUNE 16TH.  

Why I need this money:  I have been invited to join the artsINSIDEOUT team this year on their annual trip to Nkosi's Haven, a small village in Johannesburg, Africa that acts as a safe place for kids, teens, and moms who have been affected by HIV/AIDS.  We are conducting a two-week-long arts program there (I'm teaching music with a broadway lyricist!), and we hope it will empower the students to explore and use their creative voices. The $2000 I am raising is for the roundtrip ticket to and from Johannesburg.  All other expenses are already covered.

2. ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY: PROJECT "ACCESS THE FOREST".
ALSO PRETTY URGENT. 
I NEED TO RAISE $3000 BY JULY 5th.   

Why I need this money:  You know how much I LOVE tree houses?  Well, I've just been invited to do a 2-week Artist-In-Residency program at a very special hostel made entirely of tree houses. While I'm there, I will spend half of my time on creativity (writing music, singing, meditating, etc), and the other half making the hostel more ACCESSIBLE for people in wheelchairs. 

I have brought Ali there several times and, although we've made it work (picture me, carrying Ali up into a treehouse. lol. Literally, did it.), I want her, and other people on wheels, to feel more comfortable and free when they're visiting the forest.  I'm designing and building a few ramps and a shower bench, with the help of a hostel "construction" crew, and I can't wait to see the joy on Ali's face when she rolls up there by herself for the first time!  :)  

*The funds I am raising for this project would be to cover travel for me and my creative team (2 to 3 cowriters, a composer, and a videographer etc), who may all be joining me for the 2nd half of  my residency.  Any left over money, after those costs are covered, will be used to fund the accessibility project and my next creative venture.*  I can't thank you enough!
